There are initiatives that create a profound impact on individuals and communities, yet many of them do not generate income; instead, they require significant investment to come to life and remain active.
This is the case of Dopll SOS, an App that allows anyone to request help from the community around them. When the SOS button is activated, the person in need shares a real-time video stream and their GPS location with the entire community network using the App. This enables those nearby to understand the context of the situation and decide whether they can offer assistance. All video footage and GPS coordinates are securely stored in the cloud as legal evidence the victim may later rely on.
The Beta version is already available for Android in Mexico, a country where insecurity forces millions to live in fear. However, additional resources are needed to develop the iOS version and translate the application into multiple languages so it can be offered freely to people everywhere.
Since Dopll SOS has not yet received financial support from sponsors to fund its development and operation, and given the considerable investment required to continue, the proceeds from the sale of our artwork at Believe in Miracles are being directed to Dopll SOS to sustain and improve this life-changing community assistance technology.
